WF Terminology:
     
Ad Module:  An ad module is where you can place ads that will display on your site.  You can also sell ad space on a per ad, or per membership basis.
Advanced Gallery (Image): An advanced gallery is similar to an eCommerce module in that you can create categories, insert images (rather than products) with descriptions, titles, skus, etc.  You can then use the layout builder in an image list frame on your page to determine how the images will display on teh page.
Area A (Main) Content: This is a content area that is used in the main area of your website.  Usually the center of your webpage.  
Blog:   Blog has 2 meanings.  1. It is a module that allows you to keep all your blog information in one set block of programming where you can add / edit your posts and your blog categories.  You can also approve or remove comments to your blog from the module area.  2.  A blog as a page on your site that displays the posts you have made for anyone visiting your site to read.
Border Frame: This is what you would see around a frame, it can be a solid color or a dotted line  
Checkout Pages:   These are the pages found under the Pages > eCommerce area that say "checkout".  They are the pages that are used during checkout for customers and where you would need to add any special instructions or inforamtion needed during the checkout process.
Content Areas: Content areas are areas on your site where you can add content to.  For example: Area A is a content area that shows content in the middle of your page.
Dash Board  This is the area near the top of the left hand navigation area that contains generic information.  You find "your profile", "email & spam white list", Site stats & Backups and other useful informational areas here.
DNS Server(s):   This is the Domain Name Server inforamtion.  The DNS settings for Websiteforge.com are: ns1.wsfcloud.net
ns2.wsfcloud.net
Ecommerce: This is what type of site you have when you sell items on your website.    
Editing Screen:   Usually referring to a Module area, such as "products" where you are entering product information or editing product information.
Editing toolbar/Content Toolbar:   The editing toolbar is a small popup that appears above any content editing area, such as a frame or a description area in your Ad or eCommerce modules. The toolbar contains the editing tools to change text type & size, split frames, add borders, background colors, images and links.
Feedback Forms: These are forms that collect data, like a "contact us" form.  Or you can create a "Survey" with a feedback form.  
Footer: This is an area on the bottom of your page that has information on it that is usually shared on every page of your site.
Form Builder:   The form builder is what is used for a feedback form.  The feedback form can be something as simple as a contact us frame, or as complicated as a long and detailed questionnaire or online test.
Frame Content: Frame content is the data that you enter into a frame.  Usually text, but also refers to images, and links.  
Frame Settings:   The frame settings is viewed by finding the frame in the left hand navigation area.  It is the 2nd link under a specific frame.  It allows you to modify the specifics of the frame you are viewing. 
Frames:   A frame is a section of a content area that allows you put unique content in that area of the page.  Frames are used to enter text content, or to convert to a specific frame type, such as an FAQ or eCommerce item list frame.
Gift List: This functions as a sharable "wish list" so that customers can have things like a Wedding Gift Registry.  
Global Options:   Global options are options (choices for your products) that apply to 2 or more products.  They can be applied to 2 or more individual products, or whole categories.
Google Analytics:  is a service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about a website's traffic and traffic sources and measures conversions and sales.
Google Verification: Because privacy is important to Google,they need to know you own a site before they'll show you certain information about it or enable you to use our tools. Verification doesn't affect your site's performance in Google's search results.
Head Section Addon:   The head section addon is an area where spcecial html code can be inserted that will effect either the entire site (if entered in the Site Template & Settings area) or just one specific page (if done in page settings).
Header: This refers to the top of your webpage.  In most cases there is a "header area" where you can change and alter your header as frequently as you like.
Html:   html is the code used to control the look and feel of your website pages.   
Insert Image: This is the name of an icon on the toolbar where you can insert an image into your page  
Insert Link: This is the name of an icon on the toolbar where you can insert a link.  
Layout Builder:   The layout builder is the editing tool in the Ad module, eCommerce module or Advanced Gallery module frames.  They allow to organize the display of ads, products or images in a consistent fashion.
Left Hand Navigation Area  The area on the left hand side of the screen that allows you to navigate from area to area for editing your website in your WF member area (site admin)
Live Site:   The live site is the website you have as it is live on the internet.  
Manage Content Areas:   This is where you can share content areas over multiple pages.  this is useful to allow you share the header, footer and side panels of a multiple content area template to any pages that you wish to have that information showing as identical.  If shared by "reference" it keeps the pages identical in those areas.  If shared by "value" it starts them out the same, but each page can then be edited manually.
Members Area:   There are 2 definitions for this.  There is the "live site member area" for your customers, where they can edit their membership and profile information.  Then there is the "WF member area" which is where you log into WF from our home page and go into your Site Admin area to edit your site.  Which is also called the "Member area".
Membership:   There is site membership, which can be either free or at a set fee.  There is also the Membership module which is a block of programming that controlls your membership database and allows you to send out mailers.
Mini-cart Frame:   the mini-cart frame is the frame you can place on any page that tells customers if they have something in the checkout shopping cart and allows them to link to the checkout page quickly and easily.
Modules:   Blocks of preset programming that enable you to control and edit a database.  
Navigation Menu:   The navigation menu is similar to the site menu, except that you can put extra navigation menus on any page.  It requires a blank frame and you custom design the look of the navigation menu, including the look of the buttons (if you have button images you wish to use).
Page Aliases:   These allow a page url to show in the IP address window of a browser with the actual page name.  For example: Http://YourDomain.com/15.html is what you usually see.  With an alias you can see this instead: Http://YourDomain.com/MyNewPageAlias.html
Page List (as opposed to Pages area):   the page list area is where you can see all of your pages in a quick overview.  This area allows you to enable multiple page "groups" which is useful for larger sites where you have multiple page types you want sorted for ease of finding to edit.  The groups don't change how to the pages display online, but are simply there for your convenience.  You can also go to a page, clone, restrict make active or inactive or delete a page from this area.
Page settings:   Page settings is for the overall settings for any specific page.  You can set up login/password access, popups, or fill in the SEO content you want for any specific page in the page settings area.
Product Detail View Page: This page allows you to change what the customer will see when they look at your individual products with more detail. (also see layout builder)
product level Options:   Product level options are options specific to one product.  You create these options in the product edit screen when entering your products into the system.
Product Search Landing Page:   This is a page where you can have any product search "land" the search results.  The page would need to have a Category Description (set to affected by search in the frame settings area) frame, a Product: Item List frame (set to search results with "all products" in the frame settings area). 
Shipping Conditions:   Shipping Conditions are overall conditions that apply to a specific zone, product, or other unique parameter.
Shipping Methods:   shipping methods are the types of shipping available under any specific condition for customers to choose from to have their purchase shipped to them.
Shipping Sources:   shipping sources are the vendors that supply the products.  If you ship directly from your business location, you would be your own shipping source.  If you have multiple vendors who ship certain products, you can add those as well, and shipping costs can be determined by where the item is being sent from and to.
Shipping Zones:   Shipping Zones are the areas where you are willing to ship your products.  You can set up zones for the USA, Canada, or any other country in the shipping Zones area.
Shopping Cart:   The shopping cart is the start of the checkout process.  It displays the products that the customer has selected for purchase and allows editing before continuing with the purchase process.
Site Admin:   Site admin has 2 definitions.  Site administrator (the person who takes care of the site).  Site Admin:  Where you go in the WF Member Area to edit your website information and content.
Site Map: The site map is what the search engines use to view the pages on your website.  Our system automatically generates this for you and updates it automatically.  It can be seen in the "Site Template and Settings" area of your WF Members area.
Site Member Area: The site memeber area for a specific site is any area that is below the website name in the left hand navigation area.  For those with multiple sites, it's important to note that changes made in one "site member area" for one site doesn't impact the other sites.
Site Menu:   The site menu is the built in navigation menu that is on every page of your site that has a template design applied to it.
Site Stats:   Site stats is a page you can reach by going to the Dash Board > Site Stats & Backups area, clicking on one of the blue month/date links at the top of the screen on the right.  A page is pulled up with all sorts of useful information such as overall traffic, where the traffic is coming from.  How many browser bot hits youv'e been getting for indexing the site (the higher the number, the better you're doing on the search results) and what keywords & phrases are being used to find your site.
Sites & Invoices:   This shows you which site(s) have purchased, what you paid initially and what your monthly payments are for that site.  You can also see how many remote hands hours you have, if you have signed up for this service with us.  Along the left side of the screen, you'll see invoices.  If there is a pending invoice, you can click on the invoice number to be brought to the billing arm and pay for that invoice there.  You can also change  your billing information by clicking on "profile" on the billingarm page and going to the bottom of the screen to change your credit card information.
Social Media Integration: This is what is reffered to when you have Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social media integrated into your site.  In our system you can have publish notifications posted to your facebook wall and your Twitter feed.  Also you can have your blog posts feed to those sources as well.
Source View:   Source view is the html version of a frame or page.  This allows you to see the underlying code of a page.  You can also insert special html code in the page while in the source view, such as border = 0 to remove a border from around images that are linked.
Sub-Account:   For extra people editing the site other than the site owner.  This enables the site owner to select specific pages and areas that an employee or web manager can have access to, while preventing access to things such as billing or profile information.
Template:   The template is the framework and design upon which the information of your website sits.  It can be either a custom, one of a kind template, or one of our free templates that you can customize within design parameters to suit your needs.
Visitor Tracking:   Visitor tracking shows you who is on your site, who has recently been on your site, what kinds of searchs have been performed and how many abandoned carts you've had.  This information is kept for 4 days.
Wish List:   Wish list is the list of "want to buy" that your customers can save.  They need to be logged into put things into their wish list.
